Moving between Seattle’s Century 21 World’s Fair, the uranium boom of the Atomic West, and 40 years of art-making at Annex Theatre, Atomic Wild looks at the strange promises we make about what comes next: the futures we advertise, the futures we build, and the stories that survive their makers.
Developed with the Annex community through a collaborative devising process, Atomic Wild asks: What do we inherit? What do we bury? What refuses to disappear? And what can the future hold?
Atomic Wild is interested in performers and makers of many kinds: Actors, musicians, singers, dancers, comedians, cabaret and drag artists, circus performers, magicians, poets, puppeteers, movement artists, and people with strange, specific, virtuosic, or difficult-to-categorize performance practices are all encouraged to submit.
You do not need to identify primarily as an actor.
Tell us about your thing. What can you do, make, perform, demonstrate, manipulate, play, sing, transform, or conjure that you would be excited to bring into a room with us?
Links, video, images, or other examples are welcome but not required.
