About the Project

inD Theatre is now casting for its March 2022 production of "MagPie," written by Catherine Rush and directed by Rachel Noll James. Please complete the form on the webpage specified in this post to request an audition. All auditions, rehearsals and performances will take place on Bainbridge Island. We are committed to diverse and creative casting. Actors of color, gender non-conforming actors, and actors with disabilities are encouraged to request auditions. Actors who are younger than age 18 must have approval from a parent or guardian in order to audition.

COVID-19 SAFETY
All actors invited to audition must bring and show proof of FDA authorized, complete Covid-19 vaccination received no less than 2 weeks prior to the audition. In addition, for the safety of everyone involved in the audition process, all production team members, actors and anyone else on site will be required to wear masks at all times except for actors during their audition.

SYNOPSIS
It’s 1978. The '60s are over and Reaganomics is just around the corner… At the Pierson School, a private boarding school for girls, Maggie Guthrie and Peggy Norris are roommates and best friends. Unwittingly, Peggy finds herself in the middle of a tug-of-war between the past and the future when a lecherous music teacher, two well-meaning counselors, a domineering new dean of students and a 12-year-old Iranian student all converge and explode, leaving Peggy’s life in tatters.
