Living Voices is casting performing teaching artists to present a variety of solo multimedia productions.
An award-winning professional educational theatre company focused on history and social justice, Living Voices tours 12 unique, one-person, multimedia shows in repertory for schools and communities nationwide. Artists present performances and facilitate pre- and post-show discussions.
Auditions will be held in September. Individualized training and rehearsals begin in fall for performances during the 2024-25 school year and beyond.

Our Revolution: the American Revolution from the point of view of a Black Continental soldier
The Right to Dream: student workers in the civil rights movement
Native Vision: Native American boarding schools & Navajo Code Talkers in World War II
Within the Silence: World War II incarceration of Japanese Americans

Must have a valid driver's license, a flexible schedule with daytime availability, and be willing to travel locally or regionally. Teaching experience is not required, but an interest in education and social issues is important.
Audition sides, a video clip and other instructions will be provided via email with audition slot confirmation.
WORKING WITH LIVING VOICES
A typical Living Voices day involves 1-3 programs. Audiences vary: elementary through high school students, universities, community groups, museums and corporations. Audience sizes range from a single classroom to hundreds in an auditorium or theatre.
Artists are compensated at a daily rate, with occasional single performances on evenings or weekends paid additionally/separately. All travel expenses are covered, including mileage, airfare, lodging, car rental and per diem. All performances and tours are booked according to individual artist schedules.
