The Woolgatherer, by William Mastrosimone, is a romantic comedy about two people who are desperate for love, and just as desperate to avoid it. Winner of the LA Drama Critics Award for best play of 1982.
Auditions will be held via Zoom during the week of August 23. Please prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues. You can also submit pre-recorded monologues for this initial audition.
Callbacks will be held in person during the first week of September. Sides from the script will be provided for callbacks. Callbacks will be held in central Seattle.
Rehearsals begin the week of September 20. We will have 4 rehearsals per week (about 15 hours per week) until opening. Rehearsals will be held in south Seattle and at the theatre.
Both cast members and all crew must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before rehearsals begin. We're expecting to require that in-person audience members also be vaccinated, but in all matters of COVID-19 safety we'll follow the most current public health guidelines.
This production will be performed for a hybrid audience, with tickets sold for both in-person attendance and live-streaming.
