The Dramatists Guild is hosting their holiday party starring YOU!
DG members will have been given 24 hours to write a new holiday-themed, three-page play.
And this is where you come in!
Show up at The Palace Theatre and Art Bar in Georgetown Sunday, December 8 between 1:00 - 1:30 PM.
Playwrights will be casting their pieces with anyone who is there. Starting at 1:30 PM, we'll start throwing as many of the plays up on the stage as we can before the clock strikes 3:30 PM.
We need all shapes, sizes, genders, diasporas, orientations, abilities, and more! Come! We want YOU! (The one caveat is that due to the liquor license of the establishment, you must be 21 or older. Many apologies! We'll be hosting an all-age networking event in the summer and will look forward to meeting you there.)
It will be a fun, no pressure opportunity to strut your stuff in front of 50 playwrights who are looking for new muses. No need to RSVP! Just bring yourself, a sense of play, and a couple headshots or business cards.
The DG Holiday Party Play Challenge is free to attend, and please don't hesitate to bring any friends or family who might want to get into the holiday mood. Beverages will be available for purchase.
Show up between 1:00-1:30 PM to be cast, show runs from 1:30-3:30 PM.
Come between 1:00 - 1:30 and playwrights will cast from any actors who are there.
Between 1:30 - 3:30 PM, we'll put you on the Palace Theatre and Art Bar's stage to cold read these new three-page holiday plays for everyone.
