Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 2-6pm, Sunday, October 18th from 6-8pm at TMP’s The Spire located at 710 S. Anderson St. in Tacoma. Callback auditions will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at 7pm on at Tacoma Musical Playhouse.
We will see auditions from people ages 16 & up. We will need parent consent from people 16-18 years old to audition. We encourage performers of all backgrounds, identities, body types, abilities, and experience levels to audition. We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative rehearsal environment.
We are asking that actors sing the side for the role/roles they want to be seen for, which will be sent in a google drive folder and include the backing track we will use at auditions. The link to these will be sent in your audition confirmation email.
All actors cast will receive a travel/expense reimbursement up to $450.
Once cast, Next to Normal, will begin rehearsals the week of January 4th. Rehearsals are typically held Monday-Thursday from 7pm-9:30pm. Weekend rehearsals may be scheduled anytime between 10am-7Pm. With the exception of technical rehearsals, you should not expect to be called for the entire 10am-7pm period. Most weekend rehearsal calls will be shorter, and specific call times will be communicated in advance based on the needs of each rehearsal. Technical rehearsals and dress rehearsal call times will be earlier and rehearsal end times may also be later leading up to opening weekend.
The production will run from February 19th- March 14th. Performances will be on:
