Join us in 19th century Christiania (Oslo) at the spacious home of a woman with plenty of will but no room to exact it. She thought she made a wise deal with the man she just married. She would be his wife, and he would provide her with the safe and respectable means to occupy her active mind. But when it becomes clear that her husband can’t fulfill his end of the bargain, her active mind quickly turns toward the dangerous.
General Gabler’s Theatre (GGT) is thrilled to bring Broadway star Eva Le Gallienne’s brilliant translation of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece "Hedda Gabler" to a Seattle stage. GGT is a brand new company specializing in the works of Henrik Ibsen. Our inaugural production will be performed by an all woman and non-binary cast.
Only six performances between August 4th - August 12th.
Tickets are Pay-What-You-Will and can be purchased on our website or at the door. Doors open at 7pm and performances start at 7:30pm.
For the safety of our performers, audience members are required to wear a mask.
West of Lenin is wheelchair accessible. The venue is near multiple bus lines and there is plenty of neighborhood parking.
