September 13 – September 15
The Underground Theater, Theatre Puget Sound, and SCRiB LAB are proudly partnering on The Harvest, a brand new play development process! The Harvest will feature 3 Seattle-area playwrights who will present their plays to the public on weekend 1, spend a week in revisions, then have a final reading on weekend 2. The plays will be read by professional Seattle actors and audiences will be invited to give feedback and ask questions.
During the week between readings, the playwrights will revise their plays according to feedback provided at the first reading. They will be provided one-on-one dramaturgical support with Miriam Tobin of SCRiB LAB and physical space at TPS to use if they’d like to write outside their home.
The week ends with a second public reading of each of the plays, read by the same actors. Audiences are encouraged to come to multiple shows, and it will be fun to see how the plays change between readings.
The dates for Harvest 2024 are: Fri 9/13, Sat 9/14, Sun 9/15 and Fri 9/20, Sat 9/21, Sun 9/22. All public readings will be at the Center Theatre at TPS.
