About the project and the company
We’re looking to fill a few roles for our next production, staging in Lower Queen Anne in late March.
The plot involves a dying drag queen attending a final reunion with their extended family. Flashbacks! Tears! Dancing! Hats!
Roles are gender/age/ethnicity agnostic. Descriptions below describe the character, not the actor.
Rehearsals start this month and we open March 20th. Initial/early rehearsals will be remote readings.
If you’re available, we’re looking for:
Gretchen – Confident Southern woman. Drag queen’s ex wife. Mother of three. Roughly in her 60s. Fierce, loving.
Young Earl – Twinkish sailor trying to balance his secret sexuality with keeping his job in the Navy, late teens/early 20s.
Dancing Earl: Performer for two three-minute drag numbers. This role and Young Earl can be combined if the actor can dance or the dancer can act.
It’s all great fun, and we hope you’ll join our already-excellent cast. Please be vaccinated and boosted. We are.
