Job Description

Seeking a stage manager for the upcoming production of The Foreigner by Larry Shue, directed by Ken Michels. Rehearsals start September 6, Sundays through Thursdays, 7pm to 10pm, in Kenmore. Performances are Thur-Sun, Oct 6-23. SM is expected to manage rehearsals, support director, liaise between producers and actors, manage tech week & performances, and run all performance light cues.

Required Qualifications

- Proven work experience as a Stage Manager - Computer skills and understanding of current technology - Ability to work under pressure - Organized and able to juggle many tasks - Comfortable learning and running lighting cues on laptop program - Liaise with all designers, the director, and producers - Supervise the set, lighting, and sound installation - Create a prompt script compiled with notes on Actors’ cues and requirements for props, lighting, and sound - Oversee scene changes, ensuring that stage crew is on task - Create and set up rehearsal schedules - Manage furniture and prop needs - Arrange costume and wig fittings -Use discretion regarding personal needs of actors and creative team
