About the project and the company

WHAT:  From the Habit Comedy team that brought you “A Very Die Hard Christmas” comes “Titanish”. Epically hilarious. Disastrously passionate. Wildly inappropriate. Come audition!

 WHEN:  Titanish will begin rehearsals June 7th. Rehearsals will be 3-4 days a week, weeknights primarily and some weekend afternoons, depending on cast availability. No rehearsals July 4th weekend (July 1-4). Tech week begins July 9th.

WHERE: Performing at the Bathhouse Theater in collaboration with Marxiano Productions and Seattle Public Theater.

WHO: Casting an ensemble of 10 actors ages 18+ to take on multiple roles inspired by the 1997 Film. All races and genders will be considered for all roles. No roles are pre-cast.

AUDITION TIMES: April 11-17thby appointment. Slots are available during the day and evening, please list your ideal audition time in your emailed request. At this audition there will also be casting representatives from ReAct Theater and Seattle Public Theater.

 CALLBACKS:  April 19th and Aprl 21st7-9pm 

AUDITION MATERIAL:

The script is still being tweaked currently, but sides will be available for the audition, and a draft of the script will be available for callbacks. 

For your initial audition, you will have 10 minutes. Read from the sides provided, bring in a monologue you’ve got ready, sing some Celine a cappella [or don’t!!], recite your fave monologue from the film, tell a joke about Billy Zane…use the time to show us how you shine. We’re looking to build an eclectic ensemble and may write your special skill into the script! Dust off the autoharp, embrace the 90’s and have some fun.

Other details

We are casting an ensemble of 10 actors ages 18+ to take on multiple roles inspired by the 1997 Film. All races and genders will be considered for all roles. No roles are pre-cast.

The stipend offered is based on a 50% attendance. If the show sells well, there is opportunity to make more.

We will follow all state guidelines regarding COVID safety.

Romantic lead.

An arrogant, snooty, chauvinistic scion. And those are his good traits.
Captain Smith
Stoic seaman three days from retirement.

First Mate. Young and eager. Knows everything about the ship.
Frederick Fleet
Most of Frederick’s ideas are well intentioned. Poorly executed.
Reginald Lee
Most of Reginald’s ideas are poorly intentioned. Also poorly executed.
