BACKSTAGE/TECH INSTRUCTOR NEEDED FOR SUMMER MUSICAL THEATER CAMP

This position focuses on teaching basic backstage/technical skills to high school aged students as the lead instructor for our two week Backstage/Tech Summer Camp. Teaching responsibilities are incorporated into fulfilling some of the backstage/tech needs for the musical theater shows that are presented at the end of the two-week camp. The ideal candidate is a nurturing instructor who will have one or two areas of expertise such as costuming, stage management, sound design or set construction while also having a broad knowledge of all facets of theater production and backstage/tech responsibilities. This is a paid position. Time management, organization, scheduling, excellent communication/collaboration skills and attention to detail and safety are paramount for this position. The Admiral Theatre Summer Camp is a wonderful musical theater program that is loved by the community. The theatre is a 10-minute walk from the Seattle/Bremerton Ferry. The camp staff schedule is 9 to 5 for two weeks and starts JULY 27 to AUGUST 8, 2020. (NO CAMP on Saturday and Sunday August 1st & 2nd).
