CASTING CALL FOR THESIS FILM
This film tells the story of Sofia, a writer in the midst of a personal existential crisis, through a series of loosely connected vignettes and experimental devices. Dealing with the anxiety of losing her mother, the continuous mental pressure of a creative career, and her own cosmic questions about what reality is, the guiding light of an unseen Goddess, Elshvir, as well as conversations with her close friend Margot, bring her to the conclusions she desperately needs.
Seeking female-identifying actors for the following roles:
Sofia – young writer in search of an answer to her questions of faith and existence
Elshvir – the goddess of the negative, reality, the substance of life, a representation of the lost faith in archaic values of nature and divinity
Margot – Sofia’s longtime friend, a support system for her, fundamental disagreements cause Sofia undue anxiety
