Hotopp Creative Studio is a multi-disciplinary design, fabrication, and production studio, leading the creation of an eclectic array of projects across the entertainment, attraction, and experience design industries. This is an opportunity for unique, creative, enthusiastic carpenters, builders, craft-people, metal workers, scenic painters, and prop-makers to join our talented Fabrication team! This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent. Applicants must be able to work from our Seattle fabrication shop 20-40 hours per week, schedule TBD based on availability, skill set and work load. At Hotopp we believe in a work-life balance and try to accommodate our team’s needs, while still doing high level creative work and having fun.

Responsibilities:
– Perform various specialty fabrication tasks ranging from set-building, prop making, finish carpentry and metal work, painting, and project installation .

-Work as an individual contributor on a multi-disciplinary team, often multitasking on several unique projects at once.

– Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards.

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a builder, maker, crafts person or trade worker
– Proficiency in various construction techniques such as cabinet installation or metal work
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
– Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

-Experience in a theatrical scene shop, trade show, film production, or exhibit construction a plus
