(Free) Meisner Repetition Lab

About the project and the company

Eastside Actors’ Lab is accepting (vaccinated) actors for its ongoing Meisner Lab.

The Lab meets in person weekly, on Thursday evenings (starting July 22), from approximately 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Kirkland to train using Meisner’s Repetition Exercise as moderated by individual actors. Participation is free and the Lab is supported by funding from 4Culture, ArtsWA, and contributions from individual participants.

Eastside Actors’ Lab is a 501(c)(3) arts organization that was formed to facilitate actor training and performance, and creative discovery for all curious, interested, and respectful participants. The Lab is committed to building a diverse and equitable organization that is inclusive of individuals of all gender identities, race, sexual orientation, financial status, religion, and cultural background.

The Lab maintains that respectful, professional conduct furthers the organization’s mission, promotes productivity, minimizes disputes, and enhances the Lab’s reputation. The Lab expects every participant to show respect for all colleagues and harassment of any kind is misconduct that destroys the Lab’s work environment and undermines the integrity of its standing in the creative community.

Please state your interest in an email to Trent. Please note: The Meisner Repetition work forces actors into a state of vulnerability. It’s for that reason that Eastside Actors’ Lab expects each and every one of its participants to proceed with the utmost respect for others’ emotional and physical boundaries. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in an inability to participate.
