Story Overview

After confessing a decade-long secret, Cole, a young man in love with his best friend, must come to terms with his own insecurities as he and his friends inch closer and closer to a devastating breaking point.

Characters

Looking for a diverse cast, all ethnicities are welcome.

Must pass for early to mid 20s.

Cole (M): Struggling to tell his best friend, Steven, he is in love with him, despite knowing there is no chance they will ever be together. Cole is slim, sheepish and reserved, sometimes confident, but can be easily overwhelmed by his own flaws. He wants Steven to move past his admission and understand why he kept it a secret in the first place.

Steven (M): Recently dumped, and deeply uncomfortable with his own insecurities and emotional intimacy. He is muscular, headstrong, and can be bull-headed at times, but when around people he feels comfortable with he can show a softer side. He wants Cole to understand how unsettling it is for him to be only just finding out Cole’s true feelings.

Jeremy (M): Able to recognize his flaws and is making an attempt to change, but acknowledges he could be doing more. He is in a long-term relationship but other than that, he is uncertain about his future. He is heavyset, deeply emotional, analytical, and a stoner. He wants his friends to move past Cole’s secret and acknowledge the other’s feelings on the matter.
