God Said This by Leah Nanko Winkler
About the project and the company
Dukesbay Productions announces their auditions for GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler.
This is a warmhearted comedy-drama that tells the story of James and Masako, a mixed race Japanese and American couple who live in Kentucky. They are forced into an uneasy reunion with their two daughters Hiro and Sophie when Masako is hospitalized with cancer.
We are auditioning for the roles of the daughters Hiro and Sophie.
Hiro: Playable age 36. The elder daughter. A New York transplant. Isn’t always aware of how she affects others, but is making a huge effort to be there for her family. Can be cool and collected, but epiphanies hit her all at once to the point of overwhelming emotion.
Sophie: Playable age 29. The younger daughter. Kind, patient, but imperfect. Her biggest fears have come to life and she is on the verge of a breaking point. Kentuckian. A born-again Christian.
We are seeking mixed-race Asian American or Asian American actors for these roles.
