Character breakdown / Project needs
[Colin] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: mid-20s]
Colin is a young professional in a big city. He is insecure and looks for validation from social media where he has surrounded himself with people willing to praise his every idea, no matter how poorly thought out. He is conscious about how he presents himself: his language, his clothing and his ideology. He’s desperate to come across as the ‘caring philanthropist,’ although he never takes the time to truly understand social issues. Even though he may be conscious about how he’s perceived, he is often oblivious as to how people actually feel about him.
[Danica] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 20’s]
A realist; reserved and tired of social media and meaningless gestures. She’s mature for her age and feels jaded by her co-workers, but is not snarky. She has real-world experience dealing with people of all walks of life. Because she has already done quite a bit in her short life, her fairly banal job often tries her patience and she often wishes she were elsewhere. When she is at work, she avoids drawing too much attention to herself, remaining introverted (one could say avoidant) as she slogs through the day. When she is out with friends, she is much more outgoing and expressive.
