Reboot Theatre Company

About the project and the company

Reboot Theatre Company is searching for talented folx for our upcoming production of Cabaret (1998).

Reboot’s mission is to test new interpretations of established works utilizing non-traditional casting, design, and methods yet to be discovered. Reboot maintains an open casting policy and encourages performers of all ethnicities, abilities, genders and identities to audition for any/all roles. We have obtained permission to cast any role however we see fit.

Performances and most rehearsals for this production will take place at Theatre Off Jackson (TOJ), located in Seattle’s International District. Cabaret will rehearse Sunday (6-10pm) and Monday-Thursday (7-10pm) beginning February 23. Cabaret opens Friday, April 10 and runs through Saturday, April 25 for a total of 10 performances.

Cabaret is set in 1920’s Berlin and explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. The 1998 script includes the songs “Mein Herr,” “Maybe This Time,” “The Money Song,” and “I Don’t Care Much.”

All performers will receive a $150 travel stipend.
