Whidbey Island Center for the Arts is thrilled to be one of the first theatres in the nation to win the rights to the newly updated ROE by Lisa Loomer. This brilliant script deals carefully with the original Roe v. Wade case and the newest decision by the Supreme Court. This play reflects the political and social dynamics of a specific historical time period and is based on real people.

From the script:  “…history is a result of shared experiences….and is a reflection of multiple points of view–that are affected by race, religion, gender, sexuality, and class.”

ACTORS: Please prepare two short monologues (no more than 3 minutes total) of your own choosing (Whidbey Island Center for the Arts will work with off island artists on housing and transportation reimbursement)
