Seeking Players: Dungeons & Dragons Podcast (no exp. required)

Royal Order of Good Cheer

About the project and the company

Who’s interested in launching a D&D podcast? See Critical Role, D20 Babes, Harmontown, Adventure Zone etc. Experience with Dungeons & Dragons is great, but we care more about showmanship; we can teach you to play the game.

This doesn’t pay (I know, I know.) If we happen to build a giant audience (which IS the goal…) well then cool, and we’ll figure out next steps from there.

Improvisation skills super useful. Voice acting is great, but more important than funny sounds is the ability to simultaneously play the game and remember that you’re creating a show for listeners.

— Experienced Dungeon Master.
— Weekly play and recording.
— Dedicated playspace/recording studio, Ballard area.
— (Seriously, check out the web site to see how cool the playspace is. Maps on table-top screen. Microphones and headphones at each seat around the table.)
— Friday evening sessions.

Other details

Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop roleplaying game in which one player, the "Dungeon Master" is the lead storyteller, and other players assume a character in a group-told story. Imagine doing a Lord of the Rings adventure but improvising what happens throughout. There are a million rules, but you can learn them as you go. Experienced Dungeon Master. We'd be playing with 5th edition rules.
