Show Information

StoryBook Theater performed The Boy Who Cried Wolf this past summer in local parks and is now bringing it to a few local theatre venues in October. There will be a short pick-up rehearsal process and a dress rehearsal. The show will be performed over the course of two weekends. The Stage Manager will be required to drive Studio East’s van with the show materials and equipment from Kirkland to area venues. Additionally, the Stage Manager will act as the sound engineer for the show. 

 

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION Run pick-up rehearsals, dress rehearsal, filming day, and performances. Send daily calls, rehearsal, and performance reports. Drive van with all show supplies to and from venues and Kirkland. Arrive at venue 1.5 hours before curtain, or earlier as needed, for the load in and set up of show. Coordinate load in and load out of various venues.  Spike mark different configurations of set pieces at each venue.  Set up sound system and mix mics and create and run basic lighting looks. Maintain and repair costumes and props as needed. Bring laundry to Studio East and start laundry.  Track actor time sheets and complete venue timesheets. Fulfill other duties assigned for the good of the production.  

Required Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS This position is temporary, part-time, non-exempt.  Must be comfortable driving company van.  Must have valid Driver’s License.  Must pass Washington State Patrol background check.  Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.  Must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Dress Rehearsal in Renton

Friday, October 15, 9am-1pm 

Performances (times do not include driving time)

Saturday, October 16, 10am-2pm (Shows at 11am and 1pm in Renton)

Sunday, October 17, 2pm-9pm (Filming the show in Renton)

Saturday, October 23, 12:30pm-3:30pm (2pm in Auburn)

Sunday, October 24, 9am-4pm (Shows at 11am, 1pm, with possibility of added 3pm at Studio East)
