About the project and the company

We are excited to be producing the Northwest premier of this delightful musical, and will be working with the composer and the author.

We are looking for a stage manager to help with rehearsals in Edmonds (near the ferry dock) and a music director to help teach the music after the composer teaches for the first week. We have an accompanist. All weeknight rehearsals are in Edmonds. All weekend rehearsals and performances are at the beautiful outdoor Kitsap Forest Theater. This is a great place to hang out over the summer.

Bend in the Road runs for four weekends, Saturday and Sunday, July 30, 31; August 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21; 2022 – 2:00 pm.  Rehearsal Calendar here.

Job Description

Stage Manager: Work with the director (Trina Williamson) and record blocking and keep track of needs of the show throughout the rehearsal process. We are willing to help train the right person with a can-do attitude, positive disposition, good organizational skills, and willing to ask lots of questions. Have you stage managed in high school? We would love to talk with you. We have no lights; sound runs their own cues. We need someone to help keep track of time backstage, run the show from backstage and to help with any needs that arise. Music Director: Good with rhythms; has high standards to encourage everyone to do their best. Vocal coaching is helpful - making sure all harmonies, rhythm and pitch is right on. An exciting opportunity to work with the composer of the show.
