AN EVENING AT MIDSUMMER MEADOWS is a dystopian twist on the Shakespearean Classic ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ where the star-crossed lovers are all escapees from a retirement home.
Pacific Play Company is a new Seattle-based theatre company devoted to staging world and regional premiere plays by American playwrights with an emphasis on local writers. We value not only quality production elements, but strive for a creative and fun production environment.

Job Description
Pacific Play Company is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Stage Manager to have fun with us for our production of AN EVENING AT MIDSUMMER MEADOWS. The show will be at West of Lenin Theatre and will run July 9-August 1 and should be a blast! | The cast will consists of 9 actors. There will be a costume designer, props/set master and a lighting designer. | Rehearsals start (TBD) June 7 and will be run (about 45 hours of rehearsal) through July 9. | Rehearsals will be weekday evenings and some weekend days/mornings during this period. | The Stage Manager is there to ensure the safety of the actors, and to maintain smooth operations for rehearsals and the production. The Stage Manager will work together with the Director, and Designers to help coordinate all artistic elements for the production of the play and have it production ready in time for its 07/09/2020 opening performance. The Stage Manager will also help and participate with load-in and the strike of the set and load-out on the afternoon/evening of 08/02/2020.
Required Qualifications
This is an opportunity to work with a new and exciting theatre company that presents bold new work by award-winning local playwrights. It is also a chance to work with a director who is determined to make this show a fun experience for everyone. We are looking for someone who has had experience stage managing at least 3-4 productions previous to this one.
Desired Qualifications
We prefer someone who is well organized and has a strong sense of leadership. Someone who has worked for independent theatre in the past or is used to working in a smaller venue. Someone with technical light/sound board operation a plus!
