Theatre Puget Sound is a leadership and service organization founded in 1997

to advocate for the Puget Sound region’s growing theatre community and administer much-needed services. TPS is an organization which seeks to promote theater as a profession for all individuals, increasing access to the art form. We provide support for institutions seeking to become anti-racist and for those who wish to support healthy and inclusive practices in all their creative endeavors. Evaluate management practices. Gather information from internal and external stakeholders.  Consult with board and staff to design 1-2 year strategic plan: determine staff roles, create fundraising plan, identify income streams, core strategies, and major programming with an anti-racist lens.  Articulate TPS’ mission and values: revisit mission statement and develop a values statement. Create a hiring plan for a new Executive Director, including job description, timeline, and vision document.  APPLICATION PROCESS:  Please provide a written response to this RFP which does not exceed 5 single sided pages. Proposals should include:  A description of your general approach to strategic planning, including methodology, perspective, or philosophy that guides your work.  A description of your experience with anti-racist/DEI work, especially if you’ve had experience working with DEI in strategic planning.  A proposed budget that breaks out expenses vs fees.  A short biography: TPS is looking for applicants who have experience working and/or volunteering in theatres or other nonprofits, and who have experience with strategic planning. An example of a finished strategic plan created by you, or two references from past clients.
