Virtual Audition of Comedic Duo for Short Film

About the project and the company

Casting for two actors with excellent comedic timing, any gender or ethnicity, ages 30-50. Actors will star in a Star Wars themed sketch comedy project. Actors MUST be within one another’s lockdown bubble (housemates, family, etc). You will receive credit and a copy of the project for your reel. Unpaid.

The sketch revolves around an Imperial officer and a Stormtrooper dithering over what to do now that the Empire’s finished (sketch takes place at the end of the original trilogy). When they finally DO make a decision, Ewoks rain on their parade. The tone is in the absurdist Monty Python / Waiting for Godot style. It’ll be a short, three minute sketch and an excellent chance to show your comedic chops!

Callbacks will be over Zoom on Wednesday, March 3rd. One Zoom rehearsal, sometime on week of March 8th. Shoot date is flexible depending on availability, but likely to be March 8th or after, on a weekday morning or afternoon. Half day shoot at St. Edward’s State Park.

This is a labor of love. I’m super excited to shoot a fun, covid compliant short with some great actors!

ABOUT ME: My name is JD Henning. I am a professional filmmaker in Seattle, with credits including exec producer and head writer on Portal Runner, a sci fi indie film (http://kairos-productions.com/portal-runner/), as well as numerous credits on films including Language Arts (2019) and uncredited work on innumberable other projects.
