ABOUT LIT IMMERSIVE: Journey into imaginative worlds with LIT Immersive, Seattle's newest venue fully dedicated to year-round immersive entertainment and events, opening Fall 2024. LIT Immersive, located in the Pioneer Square across from Lumen Field, will feature unique interactive entertainment that allows the audience to explore stories through scripted and improvised performer interactions, games and sensory activities. LIT Immersive will feature year-round immersive productions for adults and for families. Immersive shows are created both by our artistic team in house and booked from other creators in the U.S.

POSITION SUMMARY: Be part of the Immersive work in Seattle! LIT Immersive is seeking organized, detail oriented, and joyful people to perform duties related to stage management for LIT Immersives Fall slate of shows: both their family-friendly and nighttime immersive productions. LIT will be hiring up to 4 individuals to share duties for three shows spanning September to December. Immersive Stage Managers need to be generalists, who are good at many things, so they can adapt to the ever evolving scenarios in Immersive Entertainment.

Required Qualifications

QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS WILL OVERSEE THE SHOW DURING OPERATIONAL HOURS AND SHOULD:
• Serve as primary dispatch for the show, calling cues, calling stops and observing guests with an overall eye to safety of everyone;
• Have knowledge of how to keep and update a production book that is clean and accessible to all stage managers;.
• Deliver production notes on a daily basis and function as liaison between departments to keep things running smoothly on and off stage;
• Have an even temperament and can be the calmest person amidst a chaotic scenario;
• Have an eye for organization and details and an obsessive-compulsive need to make sure every detail is cared for.
• Have experience in theatrical, dance or special event stage management
• Has working knowledge of lighting, sound and special effects and can problem solve on the fly if (when) something goes sideways.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Ability to use a computer and telephone, as well as other standard office equipment;
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on a continuous basis for extended periods of time;
• Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift and/or carry supplies up to 50 pounds;
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs;
• Ability to work in low level lighting situations.

LOCATION
All work, rehearsals and performances take place at LIT Immersive, at 1000 1st Ave S (the Palmer Building) across from Lumen Field.

ABOUT THE PROJECTS
Cosmic Carnival -
Rehearsals begin September 9
The event runs Sept. 27 - Nov. 3, 2024
Hours (generally): Thursdays/Fridays (afternoons/evenings); Saturdays/Sundays (daytimes/evenings up to 11pm); and some Tuesdays/Wednesdays (afternoons/evenings up to 10pm)
Stage Managers will not be needed at all shows/hours. (This position will be covered by up to 4 rotating stage managers.)

Every October, In the heart of the galaxy, a celestial phenomenon known as the COSMIC CARNIVAL appears in the night sky. You've received a private invitation to visit the famous cosmic carnival this Halloween. This is no ordinary carnival—it is a midway playground where human travelers enjoy otherworldly activities with beings from all over the universe. But, a dark secret lurks in the shadows and threatens the carnival. Can you shed some light on the problem?

Mr. Kringle’s Inventionasium -
Rehearsals begin November 1
The event runs Nov. 22 - Dec. 24, 2024
Hours (generally): Thursdays/Fridays (afternoon/evenings); Saturdays/Sundays (daytimes/evenings up to 8pm); with additional daytime/early evening hours Wednesday Dec. 18, Monday Dec. 23 and daytime Tuesday Dec. 24.
Stage Managers will not be needed at all shows/hours. (This position will be covered by up to 4 rotating stage managers.)

A holiday experience for families like no other. Playing for 14 years in Cleveland, OH, MR. KRINGLE’S INVENTIONASIUM is a fully immersive holiday experience and is now coming to Seattle! Audiences are invited to Mr. Kringle’s top secret toy lab to help create toys and prepare for the holiday season. Mayhem ensues as guests assist Kringle’s kooky inventing team, and eventually everyone meets with Mr. Kringle for photos and a personal visit! This stem certified Christmas experience is fun for all ages

Escape Klause -
Rehearsals begin November 19
The event runs Dec. 5 - Dec. 23, 2024
Hours (generally): Thurs-Sun (8pm-11pm) + Monday 12/23 (8pm-11pm)

Escape Klause is a 21 & over vintage video game themed immersive scavenger hunt. The audience will meet Jey Williams, a struggling video game designer that needs a Christmas miracle to finish their 8-bit style game. With some help from Santa’s elves, audience members will search for the pieces that don’t belong in the game. If they succeed in figuring out what’s wrong with the game, they’ll save Jey’s job so everyone has a Merry Christmas.
