Seeking resumes and portfolios for local Scenic, Costumes, Lighting, Sound, Properties, and Projection designers. Our process typically involves 1-2 months of remote preparation, design research, and budgeting, with sets being fully constructed and installed prior to first day of rehearsal in our adapted storefront space. We work over the summer months and in a typical year produce one full production of a new play.
We have immediate available openings in Costumes, Properties, and Sound design, with other departments open on a rolling basis.
Theatre Battery is inviting Puget Sound Area designers (Scenic, Costumes, Lights, Sound, Properties, Projections) to submit resumes and portfolios for consideration for work in our 2023 season and future projects. Designer stipends for the 2023 summer mainstage piece DEEP PURPLE WIGGLE by Milo Cramer start at $900 per position. Email materials and contact information to theatrebattery@gmail.com with “Designer” in the subject line.
Located in Kent, WA, Theatre Battery has been in operations since 2011 converting donated retail spaces at the Kent Station shopping center into installation performance spaces.
