VILLAGE THEATRE GENERAL AUDITION SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 2021-2022 SEASON FOR AEA AND NON-UNION PERFORMERS

Village Theatre will be accepting general audition submissions from singer/actors for their 2021-2022 Mainstage Season, Beta Series, and The Village Originals Festival of New Musicals from August 1^st – 22^nd, 2021. These general submissions are for principal and ensemble actors and singers ages 17+.

Village Theatre’s 2021-2022 Season features Songs for a New World, The Book Club Play, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Raisin. All roles are currently available.

If you would like to be considered for one of the musicals in the season, please include two song selections that demonstrate your vocal and storytelling abilities. Show us what you do best! The song selections should be cuts from a song and no longer than one verse and one chorus each. Please record your audition with accompaniment (live or prerecorded), we ask that you do not submit an a cappella audition. If you would like to be considered for The Book Club Play, please include one short comedic monologue of your choosing.

Please submit a current photo or headshot and resume containing any theatrical experience and education, as well as a LINK to your audition on a website like YouTube or Vimeo. We will not be accepting any video or sound file attachments.

If you have a dance reel, or any other links, you’d like for us to consider, feel free to include those on your resume for reference as well.

In accordance with Actor’s Equity Association’s guidelines all actors must have received the COVID-19 vaccine before attending any in-person callbacks or starting work on a production.

You must be at least 17 years old (as of January 1^st, 2022) to audition. We will be posting opportunities for Raisin youth auditions later in the year. If you are a youth interested in performance opportunities, we highly encourage you to check out our KIDSTAGE program!

Callbacks will be held on a per-show, invite only, basis throughout the year.
