About Blue Hour Theatre Group
Blue Hour Theatre Group is a collective team of Seattle artists producing independent theatre. We share stories that focus on the personal and social effects of an ever-changing world. Our goal is to present compelling human experiences that deal with the inequitable availability of resources, surviving a hostile climate, and the struggles we face to maintain meaningful connections with each other through it all. We strive to produce 1 show a year or when time permits. The inaugural production happened in 2019. The group decided on TWO DEGREES by Tira Palmquist. Founders Brian and Cat Brooks wanted the first show to capture the heart of Blue Hour's mission. From there more like-minded artists brought attention to scripts that would also ring true to the mission statement. After a pandemic in 2020, BHT was put on hold and made a triumphant return in 2022 with their second production BOOM by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. The momentum wouldn't stop there and the group turned it's focus to an original stage play written by one of the members of Blue Hour. The third production is currently in rehearsals, on it's way to opening night. The world premiere of THE PLAGUE MASTER GENERAL will open in April of 2024.
