About MAP Theatre

The idea of MAP began in a living room in 2009, and we produced our first mainstage production in 2011. We have since produced 9 shows and dozens of play readings; consistently carving a reputation for producing quality work, with excellent storytelling at the forefront.

The MAP Gang has over 40 years’ combined experience producing indie theatre:
- Brandon Ryan, Artistic Director
- Zenaida Smith, Producing Director: Creative Development & Community Outreach
- Peggy Gannon, Producing Director: Business, Production & Company Management
- Sarah Ross, Resident Stage Manager

MAP Theatre is fiscally sponsored by Shunpike.

MISSION: MAP Theatre distills stories to their root humanity, striving to generate greater empathy in the world. VISION: MAP relishes the creative journey from process to product, finding strength and satisfaction in a collaborative environment in which all team members are inspired equally to serve the story and nourish each other's growth. > MAP favors comedy with consequences: because life is hard but also hopeful. > We want MAP shows to the be start of the conversation, not the end. > Anyone who wants to should be able to access live theatre. Therefore, MAP champions a Choose-Your-Own-Price ticketing model. > Our fundraising model is relational rather than transactional. We foster personal connections with those who support us. > MAP Theatre believes in: ---> Quality over quantity ---> Elevating the work of local artists ---> The power of shared experiences ---> Building relationships with our current and potential audiences ---> Transparency with the artists we work with
