Curt Simmons

Actor, Audiobook Producer/Narrator, Yogi.

I started acting in college after seeing stage productions of To Kill A Mockingbird and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, my first theatre magic. I have also done numerous voiceovers for commercials which I wrote, produced, directed, and edited for broadcast TV. Also worked as a radio personality.

Following the birth of my daughter, I left the performing arts in 1984 to pursue a more “stable” profession. Finally, after a long career managing projects, I came back to my first true love. In 2014, long-time theatre friends convinced me to audition for acting roles again. Two months and a bolt of lightening later I was back on the stage for the first time in over 30 years as Walter Flood in Becky’s New Car. Recent roles also include Lyman Wyeth in Other Desert Cities, Ralph Bellini in The Last Romance, William/Stu in California Suite, and Mortimer Chalk in It Could be Any One of Us. I also produce and narrate audiobooks in my home studio.
