Originally from the Midwest, I have enjoyed making theatre around Puget Sound since “back in the day.” Seattle has always had a vibrant arts community, and it is exciting to watch that community grow and change, hearing new voices as well as seasoned ones, sharing stories familiar or provocative. Stories are how we come to understand each other; they help us grow together to uphold and cherish all the folks around us. I love the collaborative aspect of our art form, artists contributing their talents to create a sum that is more than its parts. Whether acting, directing, teaching, writing plays, or watching from the audience, I enjoy the interplay of words, ideas, art, movement, music, and creative, passionate people. Theatre has enriched my life, and I am happy and humble to be part of Seattle’s wonderful theatre community.
