JW Marshall

I co-authored the play Vicinity/Memoryall, which was produced at 18th & Union in 2019. The production was awarded an Artist Trust GAP grant and the script was published by Entre Rios Books. I studied playwriting with Elizabeth Heffron for three terms at Freehold and have had scripts read through the Rain City Projects “No Pants Required” series and the New Play Lab at Freehold. I co-founded and ran Open Books, the poetry-only bookstore in Seattle, from 1995 to 2016 and my full-length poetry collection, Meaning A Cloud, won the 2008 Field Poetry Prize and was published by Oberlin College Press. I am currently on the board of 18th & Union.
