Tia KwanBock

Tia Kwanbock made her professional stage debut in 2017 as Martha Cratchit and Miss Fezziwig in all 50 performances of ACT Theatre’s production of A Christmas Carol, in which she acted, danced, and sang. She reprised the role of Martha Cratchit/Miss Fezziwig again at ACT Theatre in 2018. Most recently she appeared in the world premiere of James Still’s Black Beauty directed by Courtney Sale at Seattle Children’s Theatre as Charles the Dog. Trained at Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre and Seattle Children’s Theatre, Tia loves acting and musical theatre. She hopes to pursue her career on stage and on camera.

Other favorite credits include modeling as Science Girl for the Pacific Science Center in 2013 (featured on Engineering van) and in 2016 (featured on signs and billboards throughout the Seattle area as part of brand campaign), playing Benny Southstreet in Guys and Dolls (2017) and Chadwick in Elf! The Musical (2016) at Broadway Bound Children’s Theater, portraying Huck Finn in Seattle Children’s Theatre’s Musical Revue of Big River in 2016, performing as Little Ti Moune in Once on This Island at Lakeside Upper School in 2015, and acting as an extra in the indie movie Sadie which was released at SIFF in the spring of 2018.

Tia loves doing accents and has an affinity for foreign languages. She was overjoyed that she was able to practice both a cockney accent and RP in A Christmas Carol. Tia has been studying French in school for the past 4 years, and is quite proficient as she has had excellent teachers. Tia studied Chinese language and dance at the Melody Xie Institute from ages 2 to 13, and still occasionally practices speaking with her Chinese relatives.

Tia attends Lakeside School and will graduate high school in 2021.
