Job Description
STAGE TECHNICIAN 2 reports to the Technical Director, and works closely with other shop staff to support the School’s Mission, Vision, Values & Commitments. Required Qualifications
Two years of experience as Stage Technician I or equivalent experience and education.
Desired Qualifications
-Proficiency in scenic construction -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and drafting -Experience in rigging, lighting, sound, media, painting, and/or props preferred, but not required -Knowledge of theatre and industry standard safety protocols and procedures -Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills -Experience or familiarity in fall protection system/equipment -Experience in leading crews -Proficient in the operation and maintenance of a wide variety of shop tools and equipment, all within safety guidelines -Current with latest technologies and innovations in technical theatre -Experience with, or ability to use AutoCad and/or Vectorworks, preferred but not required -Ability to use Microsoft office suite -Ability to work under the stress of deadlines and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive and productive attitude -Ability to work successfully both independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Patience and understanding in working with students -Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds -Openness to personal growth -Possession of a valid driver’s license

This is a 9 month appointment. May include some evening and weekend hours.
