Auditions for multi-racial production of Noel Coward's Fallen Angels

Burien Actors Theatre

About the project and the company

Burien Actors Theatre (BAT) is looking for 6 actors ranging in age from 20s to 60s for a multi-racial production of the comedy Fallen Angels, written by Noel Coward and adapted by Rachel Rene for performance outdoors in the parks. This production moves the play from 1920s London to 1972 in the Pacific Northwest.

BAT is seeking actors of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities for all roles to create a multi-racial cast.

ABOUT THE SHOW

This will be a 90-minute one-act version of the play to be performed outdoors in the parks. There will be 4 to 7 performances between July 12 and August 18, 2024. All performances will be in south King County parks and will be weekend matinees or evenings. The parks range from concrete to grass, so the ability to maneuver over uneven ground will be important.

Fallen Angels is a delightful romp through the lives of two best friends who find themselves in a bit of a pickle. Julia and Jane are two happily but complacently married women. When the charismatic Frenchman they had separate flings with before marriage suddenly announces a visit, they panic. As they try to keep their passionate past a secret from their husbands, chaos and hilarity ensue. With Coward’s signature wit and charm, Fallen Angels is a wild ride of champagne-fueled antics, love and laughter.
