EAL: [Free] Audition Monologue Workshop
Eastside Actors Lab
About the project and the company
Eastside Actors Lab will host a free monologue preparation workshop on Saturday, February 24, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at SecondStory Repertory in Redmond. Come ready to present your monologues in a theater space, where you can showcase your talent before an audience, receive constructive feedback, and tweak your performances.
We’ll begin with a review of the TPS Uniform General Audition process, particularly beneficial for those participating for the first time. Following that, from 2:15 to 2:30, we’ll briefly pair up and do some Meisner Repetition Exercises to loosen up and get prepared before starting performances.
Everyone is encouraged to participate, observe, and engage with the feedback given. While our aim is to accommodate all actors, time constraints might necessitate a sign-up sheet upon arrival to ensure fairness in scheduling performances. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please RSVP to Trent@EastsideActorsLab.com.
The Lab upholds that maintaining a culture of respectful and professional behavior is essential for advancing the organization’s mission, fostering productivity, reducing conflicts, and bolstering the Lab’s reputation. It is expected that every participant demonstrates respect towards all colleagues. Any form of harassment is deemed misconduct, as it disrupts the Lab’s work environment and compromises the integrity of its reputation within the creative community.
