Seattle Chamber Opera Project: Casting Opera Singers for Summer Project!
Seattle Chamber Opera Project
About the project and the company
The Seattle Chamber Opera Project offers a unique experience for opera singers and enthusiasts alike. Our minimalist approach to live performances in intimate community settings allows for a more immersive and innovative experience. We strive to nurture our community by creating greater accessibility to the opera art form, paying our artists, and by exploring lesser-performed chamber works while also bringing fresh ideas to early works of opera.
We are casting for a small cast chamber work (4 singers) of an early classical work in the style of Pergolesi, Mozart and Salieri. The performance will be a minimally staged sung read-through of a one-act opera. Musical scores will be used, and thus “off-book memorization” will not be required for the performance.
Coloratura sopranos & bass voice types ESPECIALLY encouraged to apply!
