We are excited to announce that this season, the annual Eastside Community Musical is back! Studio East and Kirkland Performance Center are joining forces once again to present the classic musical, The Sound of Music! Previous Eastside Community Musicals include: Mamma Mia! (2020) and Music Man (2019).

Job Description

The Stage Manager is responsible for the day to day running of all rehearsals and performances of the specified production and the organizational aspects that ensure the production process happens in a smooth and timely manner. Essential Functions The Stage Manager must be present at all production meetings, auditions, callbacks, rehearsals and performances. Create the weekly schedule with the artistic team and distributing. Send out rehearsal and performance reports to artistic/prod staff in a timely manner. Schedule costume fittings in conjunction with the costumer. Communicate all production needs discovered in the rehearsal room with the team. Run tech and dress rehearsals. Call technical and performer cues for all performances. Give actors notes and ensure that the directors artistic vision is upheld throughout all performances. Prepare all necessary show paperwork, as requested by the Production Manager. Create and maintain the show prompt book, including blocking, cues, and paperwork. This is handed over to the Studio for archive upon closing of the production. Required Qualifications

Required Education and Experience High School Diploma 2-3 years of experience stage managing Must pass Washington State Patrol background check. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience BA in Theatre Experience stage managing shows with youth

Rehearsals take place in Kirkland at either the KPC, Community Center, or KTUB.
