For members of the Puget Sound performing arts community experiencing financial hardship, Theatre Puget Sound is offering a scholarship for partial to fully funded Individual and Organizational Memberships. Fill out the application above for consideration.

Member Benefits

Individual Memberships are designed for those who volunteer, work, and are planning to work in the performing arts industry across Puget Sound. This includes performing arts administrators, actors, aerialists, clowns, dancers, designers, directors, executives, musicians, producers, technicians, writers, wranglers, and more. All members from all fields get all the TPS things and can pay what you want for membership. Membership Benefits listed with an asterisk indicate “coming soon” status and are not yet available.

Membership Benefits Details

Profile : Create your own publicly-accessible Professional Online Profile with a resume and up to 3 images, 3 audio links, and 1 video link included with your membership. Find, contact, and network with other TPS Members and Member Organizations on the platform.

RentalsSpace4Arts : Book affordable practice rooms, studios, and theatres of many shapes & sizes for rehearsals, performances, training, hosting workshops, auditions, and more through our Space4Arts Program. TPS has 10 studios, Center Theatre, Theatre4, the BlackBox Theatre, a conference & board room, and we’re preparing new spaces such as The Shop @ Studio K where you can build, paint, sew, create, and experiment, and Conference Room workstations coming soon. Many of our spaces have pianos (including 2 Steinway Grand Pianos); the piano use fee is waived for all TPS Members and Star Member Organizations. Other space offerings include music stands, chairs, tables, white boards, cork-boards, rehearsal cubes, box fans, air purifiers, curtains, and full-length wall-to-wall mirrors. Space pricing starts at $8/hr!

Workshops : Enjoy access to free-for-all workshops. Receive 3 free tix to online or in-person TPS-hosted workshops, as well as additional workshop discounts.

Gregory Awards : Gain eligibility for annual Gregory Award nomination and the ability to vote for awardees. Apply for selection to the award nomination committee – see and review shows. Receive an early invitation for limited seating to the 2023 Gregory Awards + Gala so you can secure your spot before tickets run out! Vote for the People Choice Award for Favorite Organization of the North, South, East, West, or Central Puget Sound for 2020-2023! While we plan to keep these 5 new annual People’s Choice Awards, we don’t ever plan to offer them again to celebrate excellence over a full 4-year time period. These awards will honor performing arts organizations throughout Puget Sound who TPS Members recognize for doing the best community work during one of the most challenging times in recent history. 

TORCH : Obtain exclusive access to the upcoming Theatre Online Resource & Community Hub (TORCH)*. Participate in member-only discussion boards*, download useful tools*, training and resources*, contribute your own resources to the community toolkit*, participate in revenue sharing opportunities*, and be a part of the collaborative performing arts community as we strengthen together.
