At the end of the day, actors are human beings with whom you have to work. I am one who brings encouragement and joy. Every director I have worked with has invited me back for another show, either cast directly or straight to callbacks. I believe this is because of my talent, yes, but also because of my integrity, my care for my fellow crew and cast mates, my hard work, and my playfulness & humor. I have experienced the negative, real-life drama during a show that threatens to dismantle it and, by the admission of a director and cast mates, helped maintain peace & hope and gave a voice to those who were unwilling or too afraid to speak up. Knowing that I am able to bring such encouragement to those with whom I work is an incredible blessing in the midst of already doing what I love. The real people behind the actors, crew, directors, the real stories hiding so closely beneath the lights, cameras, and costumes are a significant part of why I love my job.
