Jessica Severance

Jessica is a graduate of the University of North Texas theatre program, and has been involved in the arts since her childhood. Her passion for theatre bloomed in high school, where a creative theatre teacher captured her imagination and showed her the catharsis and passion that were readily available to those brave artists willing to pursue the truth. A drive to change social landscapes through art and theatre has permeated her career, finding a home in Seattle with Fantastic.Z theatre, a queer theatre company creating bold new works and shining a light on the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. During the occupy movement she met other like minded artists to collaborate on political discourse in the form of theatre around King County. Jessica has also begun her career towards a certification in Intimacy Directing, hoping to bring consent practices and artists safety and comfort to the forefront of creating meaningful art. Continuing to bring change to society through social justice work and bringing marginalized voices to the forefront of Seattle’s theatre industry and beyond.
