Lauren Paris

Lauren is elated to return to her hometown of Seattle after a decade of living/working in Chicago. Favorite Chicago roles include Percy in The Spitfire Grill, Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, Jo March in Little Women the Musical, and Diva in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. She also appeared in the first Chicago productions of Spring Awakening, and Rent (directed by David Cromer). Other credits include Melancholy Play: A Chamber Musical (where she worked hands-on with the playwright Sarah Ruhl), and work with Theatre at the Center, The Hypocrites, Porchlight Music Theatre, Underscore Theatre Company, Emerald City Theatre, Canterbury Summer Theatre, and others. Lauren has a serious passion for cabaret, and has performed solo events in Chicago and Boston, as well as co-creating the popular #ChiTownSings concert series. She’s also a signed author with the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency. Lauren’s cat Bruno is immeasurably more successful than she’ll ever be – you can follow along at @theebrunobartlett.
