Duygu Erdogan Monson

After graduating from one of the most prestigious conservatoires in Europe, Mimar Sinan, Duygu worked with Compagnie de Théâtre de Danse Alternative Parisienne in Paris. After a two-year residency, she had the honor of working with Pina Bausch as an intern. After returning to Turkey, she worked as lead actor in Istanbul’s Municipal Theater and Turkey’s first feminist theater company, Theater Painted Bird. In 2007 she moved to New York City and acted in off-Broadway and Broadway productions for two years. She moved to Seattle in order to complete her PhD at the University of Washington. She currently works as a director and actor in Seattle and is a professor of film and theater at Shoreline Community College.
