The Admiral Theatre is seeking adult actors for two Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) musicals — A Year with Frog and Toad – TYA and The Lightning Thief – TYA (The Percy Jackson Musical) — as well as our returning Rocky Horror Picture Show Live Shadow Cast.

REHEARSALS & PERFORMANCES
A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD – TYA
Rehearsals: Jan. 25–Feb. 19, 2027, 6:00–9:00 PM. Specific rehearsal dates will be scheduled within this timeframe, with at least one day off each week.
Performances: Feb. 20 at 2:00 PM; Feb. 22 at 10:00 AM; Feb. 23 at 10:00 AM.
THE LIGHTNING THIEF – TYA
Rehearsals: Feb. 24–Mar. 20, 2027, 6:00–9:00 PM. Specific rehearsal dates will be scheduled within this timeframe, with at least one day off each week.
Performances: Mar. 21 at 2:00 PM; Mar. 22 and 23, morning school performances.
ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW – LIVE SHADOW CAST
Rehearsals: Evenings Oct. 25–30 and Oct. 31 at 3:00 PM.
Performance: Oct. 31, 2026. Doors 7:30 PM; Pre-Show 8:15 PM; Show/Movie 9:00 PM.
SELF-TAPES
In-person auditions are strongly preferred. If unable to attend, TYA applicants may submit 16–32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song and a 60–90 second comedic monologue. Rocky Horror applicants may submit a lip-sync performance of a song or scene from the film and may include 30–60 seconds of original material demonstrating personality, comedy, character or movement. Email a viewable self-tape link, headshot and résumé to richard@admiraltheatre.org and indicate the production(s) for which you would like to be considered. Deadline: Oct. 19, 2026 at 9:00 PM.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
TYA principal actors: $750 stipend. Paid swings: $300 guaranteed plus $100 per performance performed. Rocky Horror Magenta/Columbia: $250 stipend; Transylvanians: volunteer.
Adult actors only. Rocky Horror contains strong language and sexual content/themes; revealing costumes may be required. Performers must memorize their shadow-cast tracks.
Known conflicts should be disclosed on the audition form. Some rehearsal conflicts may be accommodated; performance availability is required. Once auditions are complete, additional conflicts cannot be accommodated.
The Admiral Theatre Foundation encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities and backgrounds to audition.
TYA Productions:
Prepare 16–32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre song showing character and vocal range. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist provided. Prepare a 60–90 second comedic monologue. Be prepared to read sides.
Rocky Horror Picture Show – Live Shadow Cast:
Be prepared for movement/choreography (Time Warp segment) and to lip-sync a song or scene from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Optional: 30–60 seconds of original material (monologue, comedy or improv). Show bold choices, personality and stage presence.
