Job Description

Job responsibilities of a Producer include:
*Attending auditions as requested by the Director.
*Monitoring rehearsals to ensure adherence to production deadlines.
*Providing contracts to all personnel, including actors and contractors, and ensuring proper execution and storage.
*Collecting bios, photos and other promotional materials/information from cast and crew for use in show program and other marketing efforts.
*Collaborating with show marketing team to deliver needed advertising collateral and meet all promotional deadlines.
*Assisting the director with additional production needs.
*Setting up and leading production meetings
*Tracking all finances, adhering to the budget.
*Acquiring outside rehearsal space, if needed.
*Addressing miscellaneous needs assigned at board and/or production meetings.
*Overseeing the progress of set design and costume designs once approved, ensuring adherence to schedule.
*Arranging crew, upon request by the Stage Manager and/or Director.
*Obtaining detailed scenic designs (ground plan and elevations) for each production in collaboration with the Set Designer and Director.
*Planning, ensuring funding, and organizing the cast party.
*Supervising the strike of the set on the closing matinee of each production and facilitating the return of set pieces, costumes, and props.
*Fostering clear communication and collaboration across all departments within the production, ensuring that each team has the information they need to support the show effectively.

Woodinville Repertory Theatre is seeking an experienced Producer for our upcoming dinner theater show, The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa Fasthorse.

Performances are at The Restaurant at DeLille Cellars in Woodinville, WA. Rehearsals are in Woodinville, WA.

The Producer oversees the entire production of a show within the designated budget, ensuring seamless execution from contracting actors and contractors to effective show publicity. The position requires flexibility, including attendance at dress rehearsals and opening night, to ensure the production is on time. The Producer is the liaison between the Director and the Board and updates the Board on show progress and requests additional funding if needed. 

Stipend of $1000

The Woodinville Repertory Theatre was founded in 1998 by the late Peg Phillips, best known as Ruth-Ann Miller on the TV series “Northern Exposure.” Peg’s dream was to bring quality live theatre that would appeal to audiences from across the Puget Sound region.

Required Qualifications

*Producer will have knowledge of stage performances and understanding of the various positions and components that go into producing a show.
*Must have excellent organizational skills.
*Effectively communicates with diverse personalities in the theatre and ensures smooth negotiations when disagreements arise.
*Ability to communicate with the Board to ensure the budget set by the board is adhered to and reports any issues that could impact the show and budget.
*Ability to attend required meetings by phone, virtual, or in person.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
*Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.
*Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead teams effectively under pressure.
*Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
*Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of theatre production.
*Passion for theatre and the theatre-making process.
