Job Description

Job responsibilities of the Stage Manager include:

*Assists Director in reviewing audition material.

*Posts cast and crew lists and communicates schedules.

*Attends rehearsals as needed and all performances.

*Ensures the rehearsal space is cleaned to venues and organized after rehearsal and all props and furniture is stored as needed up to the venue’s standards.

*Works with the Director to establish and manage the rehearsal calendar.

*May record blocking as well as lighting and sound cues as agreed upon with the Director.

*Tapes floor for scenery locations for rehearsals and marks points in the theatre for performances.

*Creates and maintains the master prop list, ensures props are according to the vision of the show and are in place prior to and after show.

*Works with costume designer to ensure the appearance of the costumes agrees with the show theme as developed between the Director and designers.

*Assists the Director in overseeing technical run-throughs prior to a performance.

*Directs individuals behind the curtains during performances including technical team, cast and other crew members.

*Attend production meetings, load-ins, set-ups, dress rehearsals, and other key events.

Woodinville Repertory Theatre is seeking an experienced Stage Manager for our upcoming dinner theater show, The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa Fasthorse.

Performances are at The Restaurant at DeLille Cellars in Woodinville, WA. Rehearsals are in Woodinville, WA.

The Stage Manager provides essential organizational support to the director, actors, designers, stage crew, and technician throughout the production. The Stage Manager works directly with the Director and acts as a liaison with the Producer to ensure the smooth execution of performances. 

Stipend of $700

Required Qualifications

*Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with cast and crew to ensure a smooth production.

*Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse personalities regarding set design and artistic vision.

*Ability to communicate with the Producer and Director on various production issues.

*Capacity to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.

*Availability to attend required meetings, either by phone or in person.

Desired Qualifications

*Familiarity with stage management software and tools.

*Basic understanding of technical elements, including lighting, sound, and set design.

*Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.

*Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Auditions for actors will take place in August with rehearsal schedule to be decided for September and October.
