About the Project

We are currently casting ONE Non-Union actor to understudy the roles of Capt. Joseph Riser & Man 1(Wessen/ Ackerman/ Beaumont) for the following production:

Hello Girls Music & Lyrics by Peter C. Mills | Book by Peter C. Mills & Cara Reichel

Directed by Karen Lund (Regional Professional Premiere)

Music Direction by Michael Nutting

Choreographed by Katy Tabb

PRODUCTION DATES: 

The production of Hello Girls begins rehearsing June 5th, tech rehearsals begin July 3rd, the show opens July 14th and runs through August 12th with a possible extension week of August 16th - 19th.

The commitment would look like this:

  • Attend all scheduled (called) rehearsals.
  • Attend the designer run + understudy rehearsal afterwards at the rate of $20 per hour (6/24/23).
  • Attend scheduled understudy rehearsals, at the rate of $20 per hour. (6/26 & 6/30)
  • Begin attending rehearsals daily during tech - opening night (July 5th – July 14th) at the rate of $20 per hour.
  • Attend the scheduled understudy runs at the rate of $20 per hour (7/18 & 8/1).
  • After that, watch one performance a week for the 5-week run.
  • Agree to be ready to go on if needed, during the rehearsal process and performances.
  • Agree to ONE performance to be scheduled. Taproot Theatre will collaborate to schedule this performance date with all parties involved. This is an optional performance opportunity, and the producer will have the final decision.
  • Agrees to the hourly wage of $20 per hour any time they are called for rehearsal and performance. During the performance period, July 18th - August 12th (including the extension week, if we extend), the actor will be paid a minimum of $200 per week, as a retainer for their services, OR $20 per hour if called, whichever is greater. Wages and reimbursements will be payable weekly. Hours are calculated from Sunday through Saturday and pay dates regularly occur on the following Friday. The employee will receive no medical or vacation benefits. If the opportunity arises in which we are able to schedule an additional performance, it will be scheduled around the availability of the cast and crew.
  • Any additional rehearsal time MUST be approved by the stage manager, director and Taproot's production manager prior to attendance.
