The Return: The play is set in an automobile repair shop in the mid-sized city Herzliya. This Seattle premiere by Palestinian playwright Hanna Eady and Seattle-based playwright Edward Mast deftly dramatizes the tensions between a Palestinian and an Israeli Jew who might have known each other in the past. By the end of the play, both of their lives will be forever changed by the realities of present-day Israel.
DUNYA PRODUCTIONS is devoted to creating art and performance that will inspire and impassion our audience to engage with the global struggle for social and political justice. We seek to amplify the voices of the Middle East, North African, and Arab (MENAA+) people as well as other marginalized communities.
The Return will be directed by John Vreeke and will be the second production of Dunya Productions' 2023 season, following Nubian Stories by Nabra Nelson.
